Overview
The Welch Allyn Connex Spot Monitor (71XT-B) is a compact spot-check vital signs monitor for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. This configuration measures blood pressure (SureBP) and temperature (SureTemp Plus). This base configuration has no wireless radio and suits sites that record vitals manually.
Key Features
- SureBP non-invasive blood pressure: a typical reading takes about 20 seconds (150 seconds max), keeping spot checks quick.
- SureTemp Plus thermometry for oral (about 4–6 s), rectal (about 10 s) or axillary (about 10–15 s) readings.
- Color touchscreen in a 2.9 lb (1.3 kg) housing that moves easily between rooms or mounts on a stand or wall.
- Integrated lithium-ion battery runs up to 12 hours and recharges in 4 hours, so the monitor can work away from an outlet.

- Part number 71XT-B: Connex Spot Monitor with blood pressure (SureBP) and temperature (SureTemp Plus).
- Connectivity: Base (no wireless). No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi radio. This configuration does not send readings wirelessly; choose a 73 (Bluetooth), 74 (Wi-Fi upgradeable) or 75 (Wi-Fi) model if you need wireless EMR transfer.
- North American power cord.
- Not included on this model: pulse oximetry (SpO2). For Nonin SpO2 and SureTemp Plus together, see the Connex Spot Monitor 71WT-B.
