Buying guide, comparison and FAQ
How to choose a fetal monitor
- Twin monitoring. All four models monitor twin FHR, with Signals Overlap Verification to flag when both channels may be tracking the same heart. The F2 twin configuration and the F9 Express ship with two FHR transducers.
- Maternal parameters. The F6, F6 Express and F9 Express add maternal ECG/heart rate, NIBP, SpO2 and temperature. The F2 covers FHR, TOCO, fetal movement and event marks.
- Internal monitoring. The F9 Express includes internal DECG and IUP; the F6 Express offers IUP/DECG as optional internal parameters.
- Screen and footprint. The F2 has a 5.6" foldable screen in a 13.8 x 11.8 x 4.1 in housing; the F6 and F6 Express have 10.1" foldable color screens; the F9 Express has a 12.1" color touch screen.
- Memory and central monitoring. The F6 and F6 Express store 60 hours, the F9 Express offers 24-hour waveform playback and the F2 has 12 hours of built-in memory. The F6 Express and F9 Express offer an optional wireless module for an Edan central station or FTS-3 telemetry.
