Overview

The Welch Allyn Scale-Tronix 6002 is a masted wheelchair scale. Its 24" x 26" platform has a wheelchair ramp, so patients can be weighed seated in their own wheelchair, and it also works as a chair or stand-on scale. This configuration reads in lb/kg, has a data port, and runs on batteries.

  • 880 lb (400 kg) capacity with 0.1 lb / 100 g resolution (factory default), for accurate weights across adult patients
  • Wheelchair ramp on the platform; works with most wheelchairs and as a chair or stand-on scale. To weigh a patient in a wheelchair, weigh the empty chair, then the patient seated in it, and subtract.
  • Automatic zeroing, weight recall and reweigh speed up repeat measurements
  • RS-232 data port sends readings to a computer at 1200–19200 baud
  • Cordless operation on six D-cell alkaline batteries; turns off after 45 seconds of non-use to save battery life
