Overview
The ZOLL AED 3 Fully Automatic (8511-001102-01) is an automated external defibrillator for public access and workplace use. Real CPR Help feedback and a full-color touchscreen guide lay and trained rescuers through a rescue. When a shock is advised, the AED announces a stand-clear countdown and delivers the shock itself; there is no shock button to press.
Key Features
- Real CPR Help measures compression depth and rate and shows them on screen, with voice prompts such as "Push harder" and "Good compressions"; metronome set at 105 compressions per minute.
- One pad set for adults and children: CPR Uni-padz electrodes are used on both. For a child (under 8 years or under 55 lb / 25 kg), the rescuer presses the Child button, which switches to the pediatric analysis algorithm and lower energy. No separate pediatric pads are required.
- Weekly self-test, and the battery reports its remaining power status.
- Optional Wi-Fi connectivity for remote readiness reporting and email alerts; rescue data can also be retrieved by USB.
- IP55 dust and water rating and 1-meter drop test for use outside a clinical setting.
