Why evacuate surgical smoke?
Surgical plume from electrosurgery and lasers can carry particulates, gases and biological material. The ACS, SAGES and AORN all recommend smoke evacuation, and an estimated 500,000 healthcare workers are exposed to surgical smoke each year. See which states now require it →
