Certified ADA Compliant: Corada Platinum Certified
The 2600ADAKIT is on Health o meter's certified ADA list. It brings an existing 2600 or 2610 series wheelchair scale up to the MDE standards (32" x 40" platform, 2" edge protection, 1:8 slope), and the 2622ADAKIT and 2622HB add a handrail for stand-on weighing too. Health o meter Professional is the only manufacturer with a full portfolio of independently certified ADA compliant scales. Certified is not the same as "ADA-friendly," and that difference matters in audits, inspections and accreditation reviews.
U.S. Access Board MDE standards: key deadlines
- New equipment bought since July 8, 2024 (HHS-funded providers) or October 8, 2024 (state and local governments) must meet the standards until the facility reaches its required share.
- By July 8, 2026 (HHS) and August 9, 2026 (DOJ), each facility needs at least one accessible exam table or chair and one accessible weight scale.
- Ongoing, at least 10% of each type of equipment, and no fewer than one unit, must be accessible (20% for mobility-focused rehabilitation facilities).

Upgrade kits that bring existing Health o meter Professional wheelchair scales up to ADA / U.S. Access Board MDE standards for accessible diagnostic equipment. The 2600ADAKIT (gray) and 2622ADAKIT (white) add ADA ramps, feet and edge guards to 2600/2610 series scales. The 2622ADAKIT and the 2622HB (for 2620 series) also add a handrail and a wall-mounted display, so the scale works for both wheelchair and stand-on patients. The 43-00070 transport kit holds a 2622 display head on the handrail when the scale is moved.
