The 2920KL-AM meets the MDE standards for wheelchair scales: a platform of at least 32" x 40", 2" edge protection on the platform and ramps, and a 1:8 running slope. Health o meter Professional is the only manufacturer with a full portfolio of independently certified ADA compliant scales. Certified is not the same as "ADA-friendly," and that difference matters in audits, inspections and accreditation reviews.
U.S. Access Board MDE standards: key deadlines
- New equipment bought since July 8, 2024 (HHS-funded providers) or October 8, 2024 (state and local governments) must meet the standards until the facility reaches its required share.
- By July 8, 2026 (HHS) and August 9, 2026 (DOJ), each facility needs at least one accessible exam table or chair and one accessible weight scale.
- Ongoing, at least 10% of each type of equipment, and no fewer than one unit, must be accessible (20% for mobility-focused rehabilitation facilities).

The Health o meter 2920KL-AM is an ADA-compliant, antimicrobial wall-mounted fold-up wheelchair scale with a 1000 lb (454 kg) capacity and a spacious 40" x 32" platform. It is Platinum certified by Corada to US Access Board standards for accessible medical diagnostic equipment and folds to about 4.75" from the wall.
