How to choose monitoring cables and sensors

Match the monitor's SpO2 technology. Masimo-equipped LIFEPAK units use Masimo cables and LNCS sensors; Nellcor-equipped units use Nellcor sensors. Adapter cables bridge the two: the Masimo Red MNC adapter lets a LIFEPAK 15 use Nellcor sensors, and the Masimo MNC adapter does the same for specifically configured LIFEPAK 20 units.
Reusable or single-patient-use sensors. Choose Masimo LNCS reusable or single-patient-use (box of 20) sensors, or Nellcor OXISENSOR II single-patient-use sensors (box of 24) in adult, adult long, pediatric, infant and neonatal sizes. Reusable Nellcor options include the DURASENSOR finger clip, DURA-Y multisite sensor and OXIBAND.
Cable length. Masimo Red LNC, LNCS and MNC cables come in 4 ft and 10 ft lengths.
ECG lead count. The LIFEPAK 15/20e 3-wire cable provides Leads I, II and III; the 5-wire version adds aVR, aVL, aVF and one chest lead. The LIFEPAK 1000 3-wire cable is for the LIFEPAK 1000.
Capnography lines. Microstream Advance oral/nasal filter lines are for non-intubated patients; intubated lines connect to the airway circuit. Adult, pediatric and neonatal-infant versions come in 25- or 100-count packs.

FAQ

Which SpO2 sensors work with my LIFEPAK?

It depends on whether your unit is configured for Masimo or Nellcor SpO2. Masimo units take LNCS sensors through a Masimo patient cable; Nellcor sensors need a Nellcor-configured unit or an MNC adapter cable. What warranty applies to these accessories?

Stryker's limited warranty statement covers these accessories, including Masimo cables and SET SpO2 sensors, for 180 days from delivery to the first purchaser (US purchases).
